ABOUT

 

La Plazita Community Building, LPCB, is dedicated to enriching the lives of children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds in Oakland and the surrounding areas by providing educational, sports, cultural and art programs.  



We currently run the following programs out of the space:

  • Oaktown Ballers Softball and Baseball training facility

  • Summer Camps

  • Community Enrichment Classes

  • Academic Enrichment

  • Space rentals for events and classes

About the Space

Our facility has an indoor (accommodate 75 people) and outdoor space (accommodates 100 - 125 people). There is a kitchen space with stove and oven. Bathroom and a small parking area for load in.

Rent Our Space for Your Next Event

Two large venues available for party or event rentals.

 

One outdoor venue with Play Structure and indoor bathrooms, up to 100 people. A second Indoor/ Outdoor Space available for up to 200 people complete with a kitchen.  

 

Ideal for birthdays, baptisms, family events and more.

Movement Classes for Boy and Girls 

Join Maestra Ili for a rockin' movement class. Kids will explore all sorts of movement, from traditional dances of our Latin American Ancestors to modern day reggaeton, bachata, hip hop and street dance styles. Kids will incorporate rhythm and movement with all sorts of props, drums and other percussion instruments. 

 

Classes are for kids ages 6 to 10 and held at our La Plazita Community Building at 2968 MacArthur in Oakland on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

 

 

Please bring

*a reusable water bottle and a small towel. 

*dance or tennis shoes, no thongs or loose shoes 

 

Registration for classes reopens at the begining of each month.
